About The Role
Morrison Water Services Northern Region is recruiting for a Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Advisor to work on our Unitied Utilities contract Based in our Office at Millenium Park Preston.
As a Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor you will be part of our SHE Team who are responsible for Safety, Health and Enviromental compliance and improvements within capital projects for our water industry related clients in the region.

As a SHE Advisor your responsibilities will include:
Main Duties:
- Determine site compliance against company procedures, client and legislative requirements.
- Ensure delivery of legislative compliance and promotion of continuous improvement of safety, health and environmental performance.
- Foster the development of SHE skills within operational line management.
- To ensure consistent implementation of SHE standards.
- Influence and Support operational personnel to deliver their SHE responsibilities.
- Conduct out of hour’s site visits as required by operations.
- Deliver coaching and training on site and at fixed venues where competent to deliver content.
- Assist and deliver when required contract level inductions
- Support well-being campaigns and deliver regular and appropriate information briefings on subject matter
- Assist in the identification of SHE related training and competency needs for site based personnel and bring these to the attention of the SHE Manager
- Assist operations with investigations of incidents and accidents identifying root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence
- Encourage the reporting of SHE observations through proactive engagement.
Relevant Skills and Experience
- Experience of Business Management System and contract procedures
- Ability to conduct inspections, recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate to ensure their implementation
- Proficient in the use of IT and relevant software required for the role eg MS Office
- Training (Knowledge) Required
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
Member of IOSH with Tech IOSH minimum
- NEBOSH Working with Wellbeing
- NEBOSH Introduction to Incident Investigation
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- EUSR Environmental Awareness
- EUSR Water SHEA or CSCS
- EUSR Water Hygiene
