At BNU, we have a variety of Partnerships that have expanded and we are excited to offer this role to enhance these courses across the School of Human and Social Sciences.
As the Lead Partnerships Tutor, you will oversee and enhance quality management processes to ensure compliance with university policies and achieve high standards across partner institutions. You will adapt and optimize the virtual learning environment to support effective teaching and learning. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategies for teaching, learning, and assessments that align with TEF Gold standards.
Your role will involve designing and executing improvement plans to enhance the educational experience and outcomes for students. You will foster and maintain strong relationships with partner institutions to ensure collaborative success. Leading strategic initiatives to enhance the school’s educational offerings and student experience will be a key part of your responsibilities.
Furthermore, you will strengthen industry connections to support employability and career progression for students. Contributing to policy development at regional and national levels to support educational excellence will also be an important aspect of your role.

Job Purpose:
* Provide academic and programme management oversight of Buckinghamshire New University courses, being delivered in conjunction with a partner
* In the above capacity as ‘Partnership Tutor’, liaise and work closely with University and Partner staff to ensure the effective management and delivery of a first-class student experience and undertake impactful research and knowledge exchange activities
* Lead and undertake curriculum development, professional practice, enterprise activity, research and other forms of scholarly activity, contributing to the wider work of the School, our partners or wider University
* Practice an inclusive approach and support building an inclusive university community where people can be themselves and thrive
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Research and Knowledge Exchange:
* Conduct effective research and scholarly activity, support sustainability and development of income and align own research with teaching and learning to generate excellent student outcomes
* Collaborate and engage with relevant business and professional networks to promote teaching, learning and research in professional contexts
* Engage in effective doctoral supervision and develop early career research
* Contribute significantly to knowledge through refereed conference outputs and peer-reviewed (non-conference) outputs
* Embed research within teaching and curriculum and contribute to research impact and student outcomes
* Contribute to the leadership of an inclusive and interdisciplinary research culture
* Undertake collaborative research with external partners, communities, professional bodies and/or employers.

Learning, Teaching & Scholarship:
* Undertake research-informed teaching in the subject discipline managing all aspects of curriculum delivery, development, and quality at partner organisations in accordance with the University’s requirements, OfS conditions of registration and the TEF
* Deliver educational knowledge and practice through generation of peer-reviewed pedagogical outputs
* Contribute to the development and leadership of an inclusive teaching and learning culture and ensuring delivery of excellent student experience and outcomes at our partner organisations
* Make significant contribution to research informed innovative pedagogy, curriculum and programme planning, design, and development including use of innovative digital technology to enhance learning
* Ensure the delivery of successful and impactful tutoring and pastoral support to students
* Work in the capacity of a ‘Partnership Tutor’, to provide academic oversight and programme management of BNU courses being delivered by partner organisations
* Work closely with staff at Buckinghamshire New University and Partner organisations to ensure that all necessary University policies and procedures have full compliance.
* Support the partner delivery of rigour, due diligence, standards, quality, and positive experience in all aspects of the student journey; this includes but is not limited to admissions, study skills support, learning and teaching practice, monitoring and support of student engagement, oversight, and support of assessment processes including marking and moderation.
* Secure external funding for educational projects

* Significant participation in business planning, strategy setting and key decision making within the School using relevant data and metrics
* Impactful development of others through mentoring, training and supporting CPD
* Engage with partners, professional bodies, policy-makers, employers and other relevant groups including impactful participation in civic engagement and contribution to our regional community
