Are you an enthusiastic and proactive training and development professional with experience in Vocational Education and Training (VET)?
Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a Training and Development Officer to join the team on a part-time basis.
In this role, you will use your existing knowledge and experience in managing and supporting apprentices, trainees, and existing workers upskilling through the council's VET program. You’ll also support opportunities for pathways into council through work experience placements, cadetships, and graduate programs.
The successful applicant will be highly organized and have an enthusiastic and proactive approach to training delivery. You will also have exceptional attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to changing business priorities and learner needs.
This role is 50 hours per fortnight; days / hours can be negotiated with the successful applicant.
You will provide high-level support to the Training and Development team by:
1. Offering structured support and guidance to apprentices, trainees, and their supervisors
2. Preparing and providing advice across the organization regarding training and development pathways and programs
3. Coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining trainee documentation, progress, and records
4. Regular reporting and analysis on VET program participation and processing of incentive paperwork and claims.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess:
1. Demonstrated understanding of VET and experience in the coordination and delivery of learning and development programs
2. A flexible and resourceful approach and a positive attitude to managing competing priorities and requests
3. A high degree of competency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs
4. High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate employee records whilst upholding strict confidentiality
5. Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver's license.
