We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Anglian Water team
Location: Huntingdon- mixture of office and home working
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
In this role you will be working on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) alliance. The team maintain water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts and develops new ways to better service customers.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the capital main laying team, who are committed to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions to critical infrastructure projects.
You'll be responsible for managing the quality and commercial performance of the programme area, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and forecasting, driving commercial efficiencies, and ensuring adherence to contractual and statutory requirements. This role offers an opportunity to take on leadership and responsibility whilst fostering collaboration across the team.
Your day to day will include:
* Lead the commercial management of the allocated programme area, providing accurate cost and value reporting and forecasting
* Ensure the implementation of efficient commercial processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
* Provide support for contract administration, ensuring compliance with NEC3 forms of contract and all relevant legislation
* Manage the timely resolution of contractual disputes, fostering positive working relationships with stakeholders
* Lead and develop a small team of commercial professionals, ensuring they are appropriately trained and have clear development plans
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you hold:
* Relevant degree in construction, commercial management or finance
* Extensive knowledge of NEC3 contracts and construction law
* Professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB, ICE)
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing teams
* Proficient in dispute resolution, contract drafting and Power BI
* Full driving licence
