Assists General Manager in overseeing all aspects of club operations, including activities and relationships between members, guests, and associates. Assists General Manager with financial responsibility for property.
1. Assist with development, administration, and achievement of the annual revenue plan.
2. Oversees the care and maintenance of all club physical assets.
3. Coordinate maintenance and housekeeping efforts of the Club.
4. Audits all inventories to assess control reliability. Identifies opportunities to control product costs and other expenses.
5. Prepares and monitors quarterly revenue goals and expenses as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) business volume reports and updating forecasts.
6. Monitors all financial reports/statements on a monthly basis and recommends effective corrective action in cases of any negative budget variance.
7. Monitors business volume forecast in each department and advises changes to plans or programs, in areas of manpower, productivity, COS, operating costs, and other elements.
8. Collaborates and assists key managers with developing and achieving business and operating plans.
9. Participates in the creation of events and menus to entice a variety of appetites, for both restaurants and banquets.
10. Assists General Manager in monitoring success of all departments and department associates, including semi-annual performance reviews, as needed.
11. Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work at all levels, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
12. Organizes compilation of all necessary data required to prepare annual budgets for club, as well as the comprehensive annual club's business plan. Serves as budget manager and as the point person for timely and accurate completion of annual budgets for club operations.
13. Monitors basic personnel policy, reviews policies relating to personnel actions and training along with professional development programs. Ensures that human resources procedures and policies are followed and that deviations are effectively managed.
14. Updates and oversees implementation of policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance with all company standards.
15. Monitors overall club(s) safe-work practices and coordinates ongoing safety education programs.
16. Regular and reliable attendance.
Physical Demands:
1. Regularly stands, walks, and sits. Occasionally may climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch, taste, or smell. Regularly uses hands to finger, feel, or handle, reaches with arms and hands, talks, or hears. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
2. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
1. CMAA member, GCSSA or PGA/LPGA membership preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
1. Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
2. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
Education/Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Multi-course facilities may require more experience.)
