Supplier Development Engineer - What does the job involve? Developing, maintaining, and improving our supply chain base. Helping to qualify new components, supporting issues with current production, developing new suppliers, reduce cost within the supply base, increase capacity to improve supplier performance. Hours of work: Day Shift - 39 hours per week, usually working, Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 1.00pm with 30-minute break for lunch. Supplier Development Engineer - What will my responsibilities include?' Develop product control plans with KPI metrics with key suppliers demonstrating performance and compliance to requirements Design and deliver a Supplier development strategy for key suppliers Facilitate implementation and on-going compliance of the Supplier development & improvement strategy at the supply chain Facilitate implementation of Lean techniques and Best Practice aligned with company strategies at the Suppliers to continuously drive costs down and remove waste from the supply chain but continuing to meet requirements Work with the Quality and Process Improvement Manager to ensure that requirements are understood and being met in the supply chain prior to initiating works Work with suppliers to ensure that their On-Time Delivery performance consistently improves Support in measuring Supplier quality and delivery performance providing statistics to both the Supplier and the business to support continuous improvement programs and supplier selection decisions In
