National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Structures Technician to join our team in the Yorkshire, North East region. The Structures Technician will support the identification of structures-specific needs, development of solutions, and asset management activities. The role may require working unsociable hours.
Please note: You will be required to drive as part of your role, and you must have no more than 3 points on your driving license to be considered for this position and during employment.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the health and safety of customers and employees throughout planning and service activities.
2. Support the identification and evaluation of asset-specific needs for maintenance, renewals, and improvements.
3. Assist in developing asset renewal and improvement plans based on prioritized methodologies.
4. Support asset studies and survey management.
5. Contribute to early solutions for improvements and renewals, including documentation and value management options.
About you:
* HND/C or equivalent qualification with relevant experience, or working towards it.
* Knowledge of asset condition assessment and degradation modelling.
* Understanding of DMRB standards and their application on the highways network.
* Experience in highway infrastructure design.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
