Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NWAT team. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team. NWAT is a specialist NHS Regional Service providing assistive technology, advice, and support to patients with complex needs, enabling them to retain greater independence in their place of residence.
The service provides environmental control equipment to enhance independence within the home environment, which may include the installation of technology to access remote control telephones, bed controls, intercoms, sockets, and entertainment equipment.
The successful candidate will have administrative experience, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with a commitment to customer/patient care and a flexible approach to working.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Provide comprehensive administration support to the NWAT Multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care.
2. Act as point of contact for all forms of communication for Health and Social Care Professionals, patients, and carers.
3. Record and analyse agreed data for the NWAT MDT Team in accordance with Trust and National Guidelines.
4. Co-ordinate key Team meetings with appropriate staff to ensure outcomes are notified within agreed time frames.
5. Ensure prompt communication regarding patient care and manage messages received via the NWAT user helpline.
6. Organise activity in line with NWAT MDT Team and Trust policy.
7. Maintain a diary, confirm staff availability, book rooms, construct agendas, take minutes, and distribute notes for team meetings.
8. Provide administrative support to the NWAT MDT Team, including organising meetings, contacting patients, and arranging appointments.

Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Care.
Experience
* Use of computer systems.
* Previous clerical experience.
Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to communicate at all levels.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Enthusiastic and hard-working.
* Can prioritise workload by use of time management.
* Knowledge of IT packages (Microsoft Office / Excel / Access).
Other
* Willingness to work flexibly across sites when required.
* Ability and willingness to undertake further training as necessary.
