An exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy Purchasing Team here at UHBW.
The Pharmacy Purchasing team acts as the first point of contact for the procurement of medicines and the processing of associated invoices across UHBW. We strive to provide the best pharmaceutical care for our patients through safe, timely, cost-effective procurement and stock management of medicines. Our key stakeholders include clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, technical services staff, pharmaceutical wholesalers, and manufacturers.
The post holder should have excellent communication, IT, and problem-solving skills and be able to prioritize workload to accommodate the demands within the team and service. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to work and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
This vacancy will be based at Bristol Royal Infirmary with an element of remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the day-to-day operation of Pharmacy Invoicing in line with Trust policies and Standing Financial Instructions to ensure an auditable, effective, timely, and high-quality service is provided.
2. Respond appropriately to a range of emailed queries regarding invoice payment, credit queries, and statements of accounts for the Pharmacy department from all external parties, as well as internal queries from Trust Finance and Auditors.
3. Resolve queries relating to invoices, credit notes, and statements of account from Suppliers in an accurate and timely manner to minimize delays in payment.
4. Actively work to reduce aged debt to Pharmacy Suppliers.
5. Support the Pharmacy Purchasing Team in all aspects of administration, operational service, and system development at UHBW.
