Key Responsibilities:
System Design and Architecture
- Contribute to the overall system architecture of semiconductor equipment.
- Design and develop electrical systems for new products, considering performance, reliability, and scalability.
Circuit Design and Analysis
- Design electronic circuits for various subsystems of semiconductor equipment.
- Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and testing to ensure functionality and reliability.
Interface Design
- Design interfaces for communication between different components and subsystems within the semiconductor equipment.
- Design cabling between components and subsystems
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
Testing and Validation
- Develop test plans and procedures for validating the performance and reliability of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with test engineers to conduct experiments and troubleshoot issues.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure that electrical designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Work with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary certifications for semiconductor equipment.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists, to integrate electrical systems into a cohesive product.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to address challenges and find solutions.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for improvement in existing designs and processes.
- Stay updated on the latest technological advancements in semiconductor manufacturing and integrate relevant innovations into product development.
Documentation
- Create detailed documentation for electrical designs
Troubleshooting and Support
- Provide support for field issues and assist in diagnosing and resolving electrical-related problems in semiconductor equipment.
Background and Experience:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
At least 5 years as an electronics engineer, preferably in the capital equipment development industry
An understanding of motion control and high-accuracy motion systems is strongly desired.
