Knowledge and Experience Have the ability to use initiative and make decisions on behalf of the team, when booking venues, outside speakers, community volunteers, etc., checking the training plan, room bookings and equipment to ensure effective training delivery in line with the Force Training Plan Priorities. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as the post holder will be the first point of contact for all enquiries to the Academy, by telephone and in person. Good time management skills in order to prioritise the needs of the training staff by working to strict deadlines. Be computer literate in Microsoft, Excel, Word and any other relevant IT System in order to provide spreadsheets for data collection, maintenance of force systems. A working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is required to enable the post holder to communicate fully force-wide, and Origin and Chronicle to facilitate accurate recording of training data. The ability to solve problems in order to deal with and rearrange courses, due to last minute cancellations, sickness, room and trainer unavailability etc. Working knowledge of exam processes including invigilation e.g. OSPRE Part 1, NIE and DVLA.
