Step Teachers are working closely with a Primary School in Enfield to present a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated Learning Support Assistant. This vibrant and inclusive primary school is currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their team in December 2024.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will provide tailored assistance to pupils, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
* Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
* Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
* Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
* Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
* Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.
* Supervising and supporting pupils during lunch and playtimes.
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant in a Primary School.
* Minimum Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
