AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY HAS OPENED UP IN THE EPR CONFIGURATION TEAM FOR A 12 MONTH SECONDMENT OR FIXED TERM CONTRACT!!
We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled and motivated individuals to join our team of Configuration Specialists on a 12 month secondment or fixed term basis. Previous experience in healthcare information technology is not essential, although a reasonable level of IT literacy is required. We will provide all the training and development you will need to become an expert in building solutions in our Electronic Patient Record for our clinical teams. As part of our award-winning digital team, this is an opportunity to be a part of delivering the future of the electronic patient record though a highly varied, challenging and rewarding role which includes everything from the business analysis to the presentation of the prototype solutions, to the configuration build and supporting the wards and clinical staff as your work goes live for use. You will be providing advice and guidance on the effective use of the Sunrise EPR clinical system across our hospitals. You will have the opportunity to work on new initiatives, system improvements and maintenance of the live system; as well as working with clinicians to optimise the tools we already have.

Main duties of the job
As an EPR Business Analyst and Configuration Specialist, you will be joining a fun and dynamic team of experts in the end to end delivery of electronic solutions which are designed to improve the safety and care of patients.
You will have the opportunity to meet clinical staff to map and understand how their processes work and create and demonstrate a new and bespoke electronic patient record. You will then be responsible for the testing and delivery of this, as well as maintaining valued relationships to ensure they have the support and after care needed. This will also include continually developing the solutions and handling business as usual queries.

As part of the EPR team, you will play an important role in ensuring that we develop and maintain our electronic patient record, in a way that supports clinicians to deliver the best patient care. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with staff from right across the organisation and get directly involved in digital system implementations that make a difference.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This role combines a mix of office based, home working and on site clinical engagement. You will be:
1. Offering advice and guidance on the effective use of Sunrise EPR
2. Working with the wider IT team to resolve EPR issues and service calls
3. Supporting the creation and development of both new and updated system implementations
4. Participating in business change, design, configuration, development and system testing
5. Working flexibly and together with the team to achieve project delivery
6. Visiting clinical areas and collaborating with clinicians
7. Involved in developing training tools and activities
8. Providing on the ground support including working out of hours / nights, during system implementations
9. Providing out of hours on call support on a rotational basis (on average one week in every three months).

* Demonstrable knowledge of a range of Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and in particular Excel
* Proactive, takes own initiative and able to manage own workload under pressure in a project led environment
* Able to diagnose and solve complex problems involving systems used by a large number of staff with unpredictable interruptions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff at all levels

* Effective presentation and workshop facilitation skills
