Working within an exciting new team within our established central compliance function, our Apprenticeship Funding Assurance Officers will provide critical assurance to the business around compliance. Reporting into the Audit Manager, you will support in providing an independent view as to whether Lifetime’s risk management, governance, compliance and control processes are operating effectively.
Completing a series of internal audits in line with our Internal Audit Strategy, you will work across all sectors to monitor and evaluate how effective our delivery and data capture is against the appropriate ESFA funding rules.
As part of your role, you will also produce a post-audit report and work with the relevant areas of the business to provide support and training to address, and ultimately reduce, risk.
In addition to the above, you will also support with interrogating PDSAT and FRM reports as well as ad hoc compliance activity as and when required.
What will you be doing?
* Performing internal compliance audits on key business activities, which includes but not exclusive, to eligibility; data collection; paperwork accuracies and data input.
* Completing assigned activity in line with the Internal Audit Strategy.
* Preparing Internal Audit reports to highlight areas of best practice, issues and risk and delivering feedback to the designated business areas contact.
* Assessing how well the business is complying to rules and regulations and informing management of any issues that need addressing.
* Activity reviewing internal Policies and Process Guidance to ensure they are accurate and relevant.
What will you bring to the role?
* Proven experience conducting funding assurance audits within a training provider or similar organization.
* Experience supporting or overseeing compliance throughout the full learner journey.
* Experience with conducting reviews of PDSAT and FRM reports.
* Ability to present information confidently and clearly through appropriate communication channels.
* Ability to perform basic analysis on information and present findings clearly.
* Proficient in using computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong ability to collaborate within a team environment to achieve shared objectives.
* Confident and respectful communication skills.
* Comfortable engaging with colleagues at all levels, including senior management.
