Job Description
In support of our expanding global customer base and ambitious growth plans, we are looking to strengthen our technical capability within the organization. To support this projected growth, we want to attract talented Outsystems Technical Leads who will become key contributors to our Outsystems teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Engagement : Effectively work with customers at early stages of a project to gain a better understanding of their needs.
* Escalation Management : Be a reliable contact for the customer in dealing with any escalations, ensuring they are resolved with minimum disruption and transparent communication throughout.
* Requirement Tracking : Track customer requirements, set expectations, and lead others to ensure all customer issues are dealt with.
* Technical Expertise : Strong foundation in software engineering principles, algorithms (e.g. client/server, page rendering, database access, session behaviour, browser caching, etc.)
o Ability to design applications/solutions following the 3-layer architecture principle.
o Knowledge of web technologies (e.g. CSS, HTML, JavaScript), database modelling and SQL programming, algorithms, data structures, and programming best practices.
o Expertise in integrating OutSystems apps with external systems and consuming/exposing REST and SOAP webservices
o Good knowledge of UX design principles and ability to apply them when building applications/solutions.
o Proven ability to design and assessing application performance and code optimization.
o Ability to analyse different types of logs (e.g. error logs, monitoring logs and performance logs) and ability to identify and fix errors and issues.
* Mentorship : Assist and mentor junior team members to grow the technical capability of the team.
* Communication : Maintain good communication with the delivery manager to ensure delivery is in line with contractual commitments.
* Development Methodologies : Strong understanding of software development methodologies, particularly Agile. Ability to balance architecture and design responsibilities with programming.
* Best Practices : Contribute to and ensure adherence to the continuous evolution of best practices.
* Integration Processes : Proven ability to design and optimize application and data integration processes across systems, ensuring maximum reuse.
* Non-functional Requirements : Understand non-functional requirements such as accessibility, performance, security, and scalability to ensure that the solutions designed meet all necessary criteria beyond just functionality.
* Agile and Scrum : Experience in Agile and Scrum team delivery, with daily collaboration with other engineers and members of the scrum team.
* Leadership : Current ability to act as a Lead Developer with experience at this level, including line management or the ability to supervise other developers.
* Code Review : Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
* Architectural Design : Experience in creating solutions for Cloud-based applications.
Qualifications
* Experience : Typically, a candidate should have around 5 to 10 years of experience in relevant fields. This includes experience in software engineering, particularly with Outsystems, and a strong foundation in software development principles.
* Must be Fluent in English.
