To m anag e, motivat e and develop high-performance resource in order to be a TRUSTed, well-reputed claims team, wh o proactively delivers a first-class claims experience to cl ie nts, brokers and internal stakeholders in adherence with all MS Amlin policies, procedures, controls and our claims philosophy What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing To b e the key subject matter expert for all Marine & Energy Liability claims – providing specialist knowledge to clients and business to inform better business decisions and help clients prevent and mitigate losses. To m anag e personnel, to high-performing standards, to handle claims arising from resp onsib le line (s) of business - from FNOL to settlement, with due consideration of subrogation/contribution where appropriate, to ensure consistent delivery of superior level of claims service To be a r ole model and foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and cont inu ous improvement - mentoring and sharing technical expertise with team and colleagues to deliver a superior service To a ctively monitor portfolio of claims and data to ensure that early, best estimate reserves are in place, that claims financials are regularly validated and that valid claims are settled promptly with a tig h t control of costs throughout their lifecycle. To p rovide Claims thought leadership and ‘lead indicator ’ insights, via formal reporting requirements and verbally, using knowledge and analysis of claims data (as well as manag ing reserving process f ro m claims perspective ) to facilitate better business decisions for responsible claims.
