History Teacher KS2 – KS3 – Private Education

Situated on historic grounds, with an impressive campus, an all-through private school located within West Northamptonshire is looking for a talented and engaging teacher of History to join their supportive and upbeat team.
Students are recognised for their academic abilities and excellent behaviour, making this a truly outstanding school with a strong and supportive SLT team.
With under 500 students enrolled from EY – KS3, you will be responsible for delivering History lessons to Year 4- Year 8.
The school offers plenty of perks for their staff including flexible hours and free cooked lunch, accessible via public transport from surrounding areas such as Oxford, Milton Keynes, and Northampton.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective history lessons to students of varying abilities.
* Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages critical thinking.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
* Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
* Stay current with developments in the field of history and education.
Minimum Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching history at the primary/secondary school level or both.
* Strong knowledge of the history curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
