The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Finance Support Officer to join our Financial Accounting Team. Reporting to the Senior Accounts Officer, you will assist in managing transactional services and ensuring data integrity across Accounts Payable and Receivable for NYP, NYFRS, and OPFCC.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the first point of contact for telephone and written inquiries, providing high-quality, courteous responses.
* Operate and improve administrative and financial processes to maximize efficiency.
* Provide information and guidance on financial regulations, the Devolved Resource Manual (DRM), and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and financial regulations in processing Payables and Receivables transactions.
* Accurately process and input data, ensuring it can be manipulated as required.
* Assist in developing financial controls to meet probity and governance requirements.
* Manage daily correspondence and general administrative duties.
Requirements
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide financial process advice to non-financial colleagues.
* Attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
* Hardworking, efficient, and results-driven mindset.
