Role Overview:
Our client is a Leading Roofing company seeking a Special Project Supervisor, you will manage construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet client requirements, drive project success, and uphold company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Pre-Construction:
Collaborate with the commercial team and clients to address design, cost-efficiency, and safety measures.
Ensure all necessary pre-construction documents are in place and accurate.
Procure subcontractor packages and plan site space and logistics.
Project Mobilisation & Setup:
Ensure site offices, welfare facilities, and safety arrangements are ready before the project starts.
Lead pre-start meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Oversee site inductions, safety protocols, and work schedules.
Construction Phase Delivery:
Monitor on-site progress, safety standards, and compliance with CPPs.
Conduct regular site inspections, addressing safety and performance issues.
Adjust project schedules as needed to stay on track.
Control costs by managing labor and subcontractor performance.
Communication & Handover:
Provide regular updates to clients and internal teams on project progress.
Manage formal contract communications and resolve any issues.
Compile project documentation for handover, including certifications and O&M files.
Attend completion meetings and assist with the 12-month defects period.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential: CSCS Card (Manager level), IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), full driving license. Enhanced DBS, professional construction body affiliation (within 12 months), Level 3 Risk Assessment, Asbestos Awareness certification.
Desirable: Enhanced DBS, professional construction body affiliation (within 12 months), Level 3 Risk Assessment, Asbestos Awareness certification, NEBOSH, Scaffold Inspection, Fire Warden, Temporary Works Coordinator, PASMA.
Key Skills: Leadership, communication, planning, problem-solving, and commercial awareness with strong knowledge of construction contracts and safety regulations.
