Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London, funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme.
What you would be doing
You will work closely with Dr Andrew Duncan and the statistics group at Imperial College on some aspects of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN programme, titled \\\"Bridging Models at Different Scales to Design New Generation Fuel Cells for Electrified Mobility\\\".
This position is well-suited for candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, computational statistics, fluid dynamics and multiscale systems.
What we are looking for
The essential requirements for this post are as follows:
* Hold MSc Degree or equivalent level of professional qualifications and/or experience in statistics, machine learning or closely related fields
* Ability to carry out original research and to produce published research papers
* Ability to identify, develop, and implement new concepts, techniques, and methods
* Ability to organise own work independently
* Ability to prioritise own work in response to deadlines
* Ability to work with others, especially graduate students
* Excellent verbal communication skills including the ability to deal with a wide range of people, and to communicate complex information clearly.

The position is full time and fixed term for 18 months. The expected start date is 16 April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
