We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our residential three-bed care facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the home, ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care. This position requires strong leadership skills, a background in senior care, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the management team to implement care plans and supervise staff, fostering a supportive environment for both residents and employees. The deputy would be required to work in the office one day a week and be working on the floor for the rest of the hours. The deputy manager would be required to work one day of every other weekend. Must hold a full UK Driving License.
Responsibilities
* Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance on best practices in senior care, including dementia care and medication administration.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident.
* Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
* Promote a positive atmosphere within the home, encouraging resident participation in activities and social events.
* Liaise with families and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
* Ensure that all documentation related to resident care is accurate and up-to-date.
* Assist in training new staff members on policies, procedures, and best practices in assisted living environments.
Experience
* Previous experience in a senior care role is essential.
* A background in home care or direct experience with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health is highly desirable.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships with residents, families, and staff members.
* A compassionate approach to caregiving, demonstrating empathy towards residents' needs and preferences.
