The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trusts and Tax Professional to join our growing team in our London Bridge office. Our Wills, Trusts and Probate team handles a wide spectrum of work, including Will writing, Powers of Attorney, Probate and estate administration, and we are now looking to expand our expertise in both Trust creation and administration, as well as Tax and Estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:
* Advising clients on benefits of trust structures and the tax implications of putting such structures in place
* Advising on and preparing documentation for the creation, variation and termination of trusts
* Dealing with the ongoing administration and taxation of trusts
* Preparing Inheritance Tax, Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax Returns for trusts
* Dealing with Trust Registration Service
* Dealing with trustees and beneficiaries on a day-to-day basis, arranging trustees’ meetings and attending to all trust compliance
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
* Either be 2-3 years PQE or, if not qualified, have 2-3 years relevant experience of Trusts and Tax
* Be experienced in dealing with creation and all aspects of taxation of different types of trusts
* Additional experience in personal tax would be beneficial but is not essential
* Be familiar with Probates and estate administration
* Be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with a mixture of areas of private client work
* Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work and prioritise systematically, attention to detail, and methodically managing multiple matters to meet deadlines
* Be able to generate, over time, their own referrals in order to create their own client base and generate further work for other Teams and the firm
* Help evolve a marketing strategy for the Team
* Be fully engaged with the firm’s marketing strategy and be prepared to attend marketing events, produce articles and make relevant posts on social media to complement the firm’s activity
* Have worked within, or be familiar with and able to comply with, the requirements of Lexcel
* Have a commercial and creative mindset
* Have strong IT skills, preferably with experience of a case management system
* Additional knowledge of tax and/or trust software would be beneficial but is not essential
