What you'll be doing :
1. Conducting cleaning in custody areas to ensure detainee welfare and support organisation in maintaining high standards of cleaning and hygiene.
2. Using specialist equipment and chemicals to clean alongside vacuuming and mopping floors and use of floor machines.
3. Supporting the site manager in general maintenance activities including planned and reactive works to ensure compliance and day to day running of site.
4. Providing routine maintenance, including minor repairs and construction, so that satisfactory upkeep of police properties, including custody areas.
What we're looking for :
5. Someone who takes pride in what they do, you need a willingness to learn, the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
6. Ability to effectively plan and prioritise daily cleaning tasks.
7. A reasonable level of fitness to suit the requirements of the role.
8. Experience in a similar cleaning or caretaking role would be ideal but not essential.
Please note - due to the nature of this role and the security vetting level required candidates are required to have been living in the UK as a resident for the last 3 years.
