Job Purpose
The Materials Controller for CDSU is responsible for the effective distribution and management of medical supplies within Theatres, ensuring that all goods are received, tracked, and delivered in compliance with procurement policies. This role involves:
1. liaising with end users to address issues, maintain service levels, and implement cost-saving measures.
2. managing the Just-In-Time purchasing system, overseeing stock replenishment, and ensuring quality control of inventory.
3. balancing financial considerations with service needs.
This will involve strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, which are essential for negotiating the use of consumables and optimizing resource management.
The post holder will be expected to deliver a high quality, effective and safe service for Crawley Day Surgery Unit Theatres through embodying the Trust Values and excellent organisational and communication skills.
