Production Supervisor

Job Overview:
Dynamic Production Supervisor required for an established food manufacturing company to undertake a 4-day-per-week role. The company seeks someone who has successfully participated in change management and can help change mindsets and long-established cultures to achieve a streamlined, modern manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of production staff
2. Labour and production planning
3. Ensuring product quality, safety, legality, and specification against customer requirements
4. Supervision of adherence to procedures and cleaning schedules by operators and HACCP
5. Assisting in the implementation of corrective actions and procedures
6. Ensuring the completion of necessary paperwork, glass checklists, daily checks, cleaning logs, metal detection, and labeling
7. Ensuring production efficiency, submitting KPI reports on performance, progress, and downtime, identifying issues in efficiency, and suggesting improvements
8. Assist in wastage control and reduction
9. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards - safe manual handling
10. Ensure the safe use of equipment and chemical handling, promoting H & S culture, COSHH, and HACCP
11. Induction, training, and coaching of staff including records, clock cards, and back-to-work forms
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience as a production supervisor is essential, ideally from a food manufacturing environment or similar
2. Familiarity with continuous improvement, six sigma, Lean, monitoring KPIs, and improving efficiencies
3. Great motivator and leader, able to get people working together to improve current procedures
4. Target-driven, quality-minded individual with strong people skills
5. Problem solver with the ability to improve processes
6. Qualifications in HACCP, COSHH, or H & S would be of great interest
