Talon Technical Brand Manager: Part Time; Permanent Role This is a unique position, working as an intermediary between FatFace and their sole nominated trim and zipper supplier Talon International. This is a broad role which covers, Customer Relations, Product Development, Quality and Technical support.The role is currently based at FatFace¿s Havant Head office but has the requirement to attend regular meetings (monthly or otherwise) at Talon¿s offices in Buckinghamshire.Approx. 20 hours per week. Days to be agreed. Role Requirements ¿ To have an excellent understanding of both Talon¿s and FatFace¿s way of working, and to continually build on Team relationships.¿ To have detailed knowledge of the Talon¿s full product offering and FatFace Trim manuals¿ To be up to date on all of Talon¿s new innovations and then present them systematically with the FatFace team.¿ To manage the Talon/ FatFace physical sample library. ¿ Manage all new Product Development Briefs and work with FatFace to ensure they are managed effectively, and Critical Path Timings are maintained.¿ Ensure Talon¿s internal Product Development procedures and systems are properly managed and adhered to and all communication is clear and concise. Talon Work across 3 time zones so an understanding of the challenges this can bring is essential.¿ To have good Technical understanding of all of Talon¿s Products, in order to support FatFace¿s Design and Compliance Teams, ensuring all new developments are fit for purpose, whilst keeping sustainability at the forefront of all decision making.¿ To have a good Working knowledge of all Global certifications and accreditations¿ Work with your Talon Line Manager to confirm all new development costs are passed over to the relevant FatFace Department leads, and negotiated, as and when required. ¿ Working alongside Talon¿s offshore customer service team with their communication with FatFace¿s Partners and help to Provide the information necessary to ensure their queries are answered and orders placed smoothly.¿ Offering Technical support to the FatFace partners when any potential issues arise and ensuring all queries are answered in a timely manner. Offshore factory visits maybe be required at short notice to help resolve quality complaints.¿ To manage and monitor any required stock holdings or projections.¿ To report weekly on current order status and feedback to your Line Manager on potential issues and shortfalls.¿ To offer support to your Line Manager with any reporting and data analysis requests.¿ To check and manage the Talon/ FatFace product manuals ensuring accuracy and the most recent manuals are always available to the FF teams. ¿ To have regular update meetings with Talon line manager and be responsible to raise any concerns/ observations in a timely fashion.¿ The candidate would need in depth understanding of the Design & Buying process.¿ Good overall knowledge of both Product and Trim production processes¿ Excellent organisational skills.¿ Good working knowledge of Microsoft excel and pivot tables.¿ Be confident with reporting and data analysis.¿ To be able to work autonomously and self-manage workload and priorities. ¿ To be able to work under pressure.¿ Working on Monday.com. Training can be provided.¿ Direct reporting into Talon¿s Director of Sales and Customer Relations
