As an Activities Coordinator, you will create, plan, and organise an interesting and varied program of daily activities, entertainment, and events, promoting the wellbeing of the residents. Your duties may include:
1. Liaising with external companies to organise entertainment.
2. Listening to the residents through conversation and questionnaires to aid in producing a popular program of events/activities/entertainment.
3. Developing a rapport with local community churches, schools, gyms, etc.
4. Working alongside care staff, coordinating hairdressing/chiropody visits, etc.
5. Organising raffles and fundraising events for the residents/home.
About you:
We are looking for a cheerful, outgoing, passionate individual with a creative flair. The ideal person will be organised and have some experience working within the care sector, therefore being able to understand the needs of residents and aid in activity choices. No experience as an Activities Coordinator is required, but a positive, enthusiastic attitude is a must.
