In west Cheshire, we partner with the local authority to deliver essential services. As part of our Housing Management Contracted work, you’ll be a key player in the delivery of the Home Improvement Agency services including grant-funded works to homes across the Cheshire West and Chester borough. You’ll lead a team of Technical Officers to design and deliver major adaptations works, driving service improvements which lead to customer satisfaction and increased efficiency.
Why ForHousing?
* Hybrid working – you can be based working at home, or you’re free to spend more time in the office if you prefer. The role involves visiting homes across the borough, including rural areas, to check progress of projects.
* Agile working – we are outcome driven, so we empower you to do your best work, in the way that works best for you.
* An opportunity to be part of a great team that makes a difference to the lives of people with vulnerabilities.
* STAR – through our partnership with STAR you can save money on everyday spending and make your money go further with discounts across a wide range of shops and products.
* Smartech – purchase technology or white goods and spread the cost.
* Wellbeing centre – gym discounts, exercise videos, mindfulness tools, nutrition advice, financial advice, and more.
* Cycle to work scheme – save up to 40% on bikes and equipment.
* Employee Assistance Programme – access to a 24/7 counselling and support helpline.
What you’ll be doing:
* Improving residents’ lives through service delivery and driving efficiencies.
* Helping to drive the service forward with your knowledge and experience.
* Determining work priorities for your team by forecasting, performance measurement, and reporting.
* Planning and scheduling work to be carried out within cost limits and timescales, to an exceptional standard.
* Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to and abiding by legal obligations.
* Assessing the progress and quality of works and preparing reports.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a leader who has excellent project delivery skills with a good understanding of technical works. Ideally, you’ll have planned projects for a housing association. Other desirable qualities are:
* Experience in housing/asset management project delivery.
* Background in surveying.
* Excellent communications and relationship-building skills.
