HHFT are looking for an OT or Physio with a passion for acute medicine, to help lead our interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Therapy Practitioners and Assistants.
We are looking for someone with a strong clinical background in acute hospital care and evidence of good rotational experience across multiple specialities. We are looking for someone with the energy and drive to deliver and improve on services in a high pressured environment.
You would be part of our excellent team of clinical specialist therapists and as such would receive high quality peer support and strong professional leadership.

Should a Physiotherapist be recruited you will work clinically to facilitate discharges across a range of medical wards (Respiratory/ Endocrine/ Gastro). You will work with the management of acutely deteriorating patients both On-Call and during the standard working hours. You will be expected to support in the management of the On-Call and student training, including SIM Suite.
Should an Occupational Therapist be recruited you will be expected to work at "Front-Door" covering AAU and our Emergency department. This will involved the management a variety of medical patients with a view to supporting safe discharges.
Regardless of professional background, the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the existing Band 7 team to provide support to the Acute Therapy Team Lead in the day to day management of the team. This includes the week to week operational management of staffing/ supervisions/ sickness and capability management/ recruitment and retention.
