We are now seeking Finance Accountants to join our dynamic finance team, contributing across our Commercial Finance, Finance Operations, and Group Finance divisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of a FTSE 100 company. Key Responsibilities As a Finance Accountant at Next, you will be responsible for providing financial insight, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across three core finance divisions:1. Commercial Finance Division • Collaborate with business units to provide commercial finance support and analysis. • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports to guide commercial decision-making. • Support the identification of risks and opportunities to drive profitability and improve business efficiency. 2. Finance Operations Division • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, working across functions such as Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Cash Management. • Drive continuous improvement in processes, maintaining the highest standards of financial control and compliance. • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis. 3. Group Finance Division • Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports for external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators. • Participate in statutory reporting and tax compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant financial regulations. • Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures across the Group. Skills & Experience Required • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent). • Demonstrable experience in a finance/accounting role, ideally within a large organisation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders. • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). • Knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
