We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic department for a temporary half-term contract (Start Date: September 2024). About the School: A high-achieving secondary school in West London requires a passionate and experienced teacher to cover a temporary absence within its Food Technology department. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and stimulating Food Technology lessons across the curriculum Effectively implement the established curriculum plans, ensuring a smooth learning experience for students during the temporary placement. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students can develop their culinary skills. Foster a safe and hygienic learning environment in the kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Food Technology Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience (supply experience may be considered). Strong passion for food and cooking, with a demonstrable ability to engage and motivate students. Excellent subject knowledge and practical skills in food preparation and cooking techniques. Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe and positive learning environment. Adaptable and flexible approach to teaching, readily integrating into the existing curriculum plans. Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
