The Research Contract Manager will be based in the Research Management section of the Research and Innovation Department and will work closely with faculty research and management staff, as well as colleagues from Research and Impact, to advise and make recommendations to the Associate Dean and Research Directors to ensure the research activity in the faculty is optimised. - ABOUT YOU - - You will identify and deliver new research systems, procedures and policies and advise and make recommendations to the Head of Research Management, and Senior Faculty Management on how to implement and monitor adherence to these procedures and policies. - You will work as part of a team with the Associate Dean and Research Directors to analyse and report on the impact of external developments in the research environment, e.g. Research Excellence Framework (REF), funder and Government Policies and devise strategies to ensure compliance and minimise exposure to risk. - You will provide advice and analysis and make recommendations to the Head of Research Management, Associate Dean and Research Directors on the trajectory of awards over a defined timescale. - You will work closely and exchange knowledge and best practice with colleagues in Research Development, Research Impact and Governance and faculty senior management to ensure there is a co-ordinated strategy to enhance the research performance in the faculty and be creative to solve problems to improve service Quality and delivery.
