Teaching Personnel is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join a variety of schools in Blaenau Gwent. This flexible, long-term position offers the opportunity to step in for absent teachers, ensuring that students continue their lessons in a structured and focused environment.

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday
Salary: £110 - £130 a day (dependant on experience)

Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor in Blaenau Gwent:
Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the teacher, following pre-set lesson plans.
Ensure students remain on task and work effectively throughout the lesson.
Provide guidance and support to students, offering clarification when needed.
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, reinforcing school behavior policies.
Monitor student progress and report concerns to the appropriate staff members.
Follow health and safety procedures during lessons and break times.
Adapt to different school environments and subject areas with flexibility.
The Ideal Cover Supervisor Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children or in a school setting.
Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Be adaptable, covering a range of subjects and year groups as required.
Be confident in working with students of different ages and abilities.
Hold a current DBS check (or be willing to apply for one).
