Salary: UH7 £37,999pa to £41,421pa with potential to progress to £45,163pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience.
Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: MacLaurin Building, Hatfield, with the option of hybrid working
We’re looking for a talented and proactive candidate who can play a key role in driving forward our ambitious plans in CRM and marketing automation. The CRM Senior Officer will support the wider Marketing & Communications team to build, optimise and deliver journeys and communications to a variety of audiences including prospective students, staff and alumni.
Main duties and responsibilities
The CRM Senior Officer will be responsible for designing, building, and optimising customer journeys based on briefs. This includes segmentation and audience building, as well as creating trigger journeys and single emails to enhance customer engagement. A significant part of this role involves maintaining the highest standards of data quality and integrity through diligent data cleansing.
The CRM Senior Officer will provide valuable advice to teams across Marketing and Communications on optimising their activities to improve audience engagement. They will collaborate closely with their line manager to develop, monitor, and benchmark CRM KPIs, supporting the user community in achieving these targets.
Additionally, the postholder will assist the user community with event setups using the appropriate systems and support system integration where necessary. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a repository of training materials and coordinating ongoing training sessions for the user community.
The role extends to supporting various CRM projects aimed at student recruitment goals. The postholder will stay updated on the latest techniques available to support CRM initiatives and work with the Salesforce community to share best practices.
Ensuring standardisation and brand consistency across all communications is a key aspect of this role. The CRM Senior Officer will keep abreast of GDPR legislation and University data protection policies to ensure compliance within the CRM team and the community of super users.
Skills and experience required
The CRM Senior Officer is expected to have experience in using CRM software, including journey building, segment building, training, troubleshooting, and reporting. The postholder should have proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities ensuring they can effectively address and resolve any challenges that arise.
With excellent IT and digital marketing skills, the postholder should be adept at managing lead generation and conversion activities, particularly through email marketing. They should have a strong background in data cleansing and database management, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and integrity.
Additionally, the CRM Senior Officer should ideally have experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, leveraging this platform to optimise customer engagement and drive successful marketing campaigns.
Qualifications required
The postholder should be educated to a minimum degree level or equivalent, or have a substantial level of appropriate experience. Holding a professional CRM system related qualification would be advantageous.
