Office Manager / Internal Accountant – Part Time Location: Basingstoke (100% office based) Hours: 12–16 per week Days: Must include Mondays and Wednesdays, with additional hours on Thursday and/or Friday Start: ASAP Salary: Pro-Rata - £35k Full Time Equivalent My client is a specialist VAT consultancy looking for a flexible and proactive Office Manager/Accountant to join them on a part-time basis. This role is based within a beautiful office environment in Basingstoke. Combining financial tasks and office management, you will be supporting both our internal operations and client services. It is a small team, and due to the nature of the work, you will sometimes be alone and covering the office. Key Responsibilities of the Office Manager / Accountant Onboarding new clients Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation Liaising with HMRC on VAT matters Invoicing, bank reconciliations, payroll journals Credit control and general office admin Supporting the Director and Senior Consultant Requirements for the role of Office Manager / Accountant AAT qualified or part qualified (or equivalent) Proficient in Sage, Xero, and other accounting packages, along with Word and Excel Experience in accountancy or VAT compliance preferred, with familiarity with professional practise preferred. Strong communication and organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and work alone.
