Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport is a 130-bedroom hotel established in 2020. Situated on the doorstep of Inverness Airport, we aim to provide a comfortable and relaxed experience throughout the bar/bistro, with one meeting room and a gymnasium. The hotel is managed by Lighthouse Hotel Management, the operational arm of the Molo Hotel Group.
Job Description:
As the Hotel Reception Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of our reception desk.
Responsibilities:
1. Front Desk Excellence: Lead a team of enthusiastic front desk agents, inspiring them to provide outstanding service with a smile. Your communication skills will ensure every guest receives a warm welcome, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive.
2. Guest Engagement: Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and exceed their expectations. Building genuine connections will turn first-time visitors into loyal guests.
3. Supervision and Training: Oversee daily reception operations, guiding and mentoring staff to deliver exceptional service. Provide ongoing training to equip the team with necessary skills.
4. Problem Solving: Handle guest requests, complaints, and challenging situations with grace and efficiency. Use your problem-solving skills to turn obstacles into opportunities for guest satisfaction.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as housekeeping, concierge, and reservations to ensure seamless guest experiences. Foster a team-oriented environment.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a hotel reception department is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Additional languages are a plus.
* A passion for delivering exceptional guest service with a friendly, approachable manner.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in computer skills, including hotel management systems.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as the hotel operates 24/7.
