We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Gas Engineer & Plumber to join our team. In this role, you will provide efficient, responsive, and cyclical maintenance services across all DN Colleges Group Estate sites. Your responsibilities will include mechanical and electrical services, plumbing, cooling, and heating installations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities, contributing to a safe and inclusive environment for all. What we're looking for: Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (recognised trade qualification). Qualified to work with central heating, water heaters, cookers, pipe work, unvented hot water (formally ACOPS 1-14). Qualified Gas Safe Engineer (CCN1). CODNCO1 – Change over core gas safety from Domestic to Commercial. Full clean driving licence. Experience working in commercial Gas & Plumbing. What you'll be doing Carry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement, including servicing boilers, commercial heating plant, fault finding, and maintenance of water systems and air ductwork. Undertake all work in a safe working environment, assessing Health and Safety issues before commencing work. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and assist in managing specialist sub-contractors. Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, ensuring statutory compliance. Carry out statutory testing, including PAT testing, fire alarm testing, and fire door testing. Assist in updating asset registers of all M&E assets on site. Provide reports on maintenance issues and identify areas of concern. Manage building fabric stock, ensuring appropriate parts are available to meet SLA timescales for repair. Assist team colleagues in other trades as required. Undertake mandatory training and further training to improve knowledge and skills. Ensure high-quality service provision compliant with current legislation.
