Senior Employment Lawyer
Permanent, hybrid working with access to Local Government Pension Scheme with 19.5% employer contribution.

As Senior Employment Lawyer you’ll act as the key legal business partner, supporting a wide range of matters with regards to employee relations across the Council and the wider community.
The role:
1. Advise Officers, Councillors and maintained schools on all aspects of employment law
2. Draft and negotiate settlement agreements
3. Handle employment claims and draft legal responses
4. Support TUPE arrangements and handle any issues as they arise
5. You will be regarded as the employment expert, and will be called upon for guidance on internal policies and procedures
About you:
1. Qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive
2. Excellent negotiator, with first rate communication skills at all levels of seniority
3. Experience providing advice regarding employment law
