The Diabetes Specialist Dietitian is a member of the diabetes team responsible for the nutrition and dietetic management of all adult diabetes patients under the care of the specialist diabetes team.The post holder will assume the role of nutrition educator to student dietitians, medics, nursing staff, dietetic assistant and other AHPs as required.Key working relationshipsInternally the post holder will develop effective working relationships with: Other dietitians working within this specialist area; Adult Dietetic Service Manager; other dietitians; office support staff; Head of dietetic services; nursing staff, medical staff, patients, relatives, other clinical staffExternally this includesPatients, relatives, other relevant clinical staff.Key Result Areas: To deliver a high quality proactive service to the Trust, which is based on the best available evidence and/or agreed best practice. Use of technology in line with NICE guidance and local recommendations.
