FLT Driver/Setting Operative - Afternoons
We are currently recruiting for our Client based in Leeds, LS10 for a Trainee Setter/ Operator to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for applicants with any kind of Production/ Manufacturing background who have an interest in training as a Setter.
You must hold a Valid in Date Counterbalance FLT Licence
You will be required for the first 12 weeks to attend Monday to Friday. The hours once trained would be Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set up and Operate power presses according to job specifications.
2. Inspect completed parts for quality and conformance to specifications.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues with the press.
4. Assist in the training of operators as required.
5. Follow all safety protocols and ensure that the work area is kept clean and organized.
Skills Required
1. Technical background with an interest in a range of machinery and tooling.
2. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
5. Flexibility to adapt to changing production requirements.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Counterbalance FLT licence.
8. Experience within the steel manufacturing environment, operating hydraulic & mechanical presses is advantageous.
Working Hours
You will be required for the first 12 weeks to attend Monday to Friday. The hours once trained would be Monday to Friday. The Factory runs over 2 shifts. Flexibility is required for this role to cover holidays occasionally.
Salary
Hourly Rate £12.12
