We are currently seeking an experienced construction focused Programme Director to lead a significant programme of complex projects in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities:
As the Programme Director, you will be accountable for overseeing the full lifecycle of the programme, managing multiple complex projects in a secure environment. You will lead multi–disciplinary teams, coordinate resources, and ensure the seamless delivery of projects to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
* Programme Leadership : Overseeing the overall programme, working closely with delivery teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Financial Oversight : Managing the programme budget and producing management information and regular reporting.
* Resource Management : Collaborating with HR and recruitment teams to ensure resources are in place to meet project needs and identifying any gaps in personnel.
* Risk Management : Proactively managing risks, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Stakeholder Engagement : Effectively managing internal and external stakeholders, ensuring communication and expectations are aligned.
* Governance : Establishing robust governance structures and processes to ensure compliance with industry–specific standards and regulations.
* Continuous Improvement : Leading the implementation of best practices to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain contingency plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in delivering major, complex projects in regulated environments, with a proven track record of successfully leading large teams and managing diverse, high–risk programmes. You should possess:
* Extensive Programme Delivery Experience : Significant experience in leading complex, large–scale projects within a highly regulated and controlled environment.
* Leadership & Management Skills : Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing cross–functional teams, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
* Project & Contract Management : Expertise in managing procurement, contract negotiations, and complex commercial arrangements.
* Education : A relevant qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field, alongside a recognised project management certification.
* Communication : Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
* Stakeholder Management : A strong track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships, balancing competing priorities and driving successful project outcomes.

* Proven experience in delivering high–risk, complex projects in secure / construction environments.
* Demonstrable success in delivering major initiatives on time and within budget.
