Selby Jennings is leading a search for an experienced institutional sales professional on behalf of a prominent investment manager. The firm manages approximately £2 billion in assets under management (AUM) and focuses on renewable infrastructure & private equity. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team with a proven track record of success and a growing footprint in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead fundraising efforts for both fund structures and direct investment opportunities, with a focus on institutional investors across EMEA.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, and other key allocators.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve capital-raising targets and expand the investor base.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including investment professionals and marketing, to ensure effective communication of the firm's value proposition and investment strategies.
* Manage the entire fundraising lifecycle, from initial contact through to due diligence, negotiation, and close.
* Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
Candidate Profile
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in institutional sales within the investment management industry.
* Proven track record of raising capital from institutional investors, ideally for funds and direct investments in renewable infrastructure, private equity, or private credit.
* Strong existing relationships with institutional investors across the EMEA region.
* Experience working at a placement agent is highly advantageous.
* Deep understanding of the investment landscape, particularly within the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to drive fundraising success and meet ambitious targets.
