Established in 2005, Arundel Care Services specialise in supporting adults with learning disabilities across Sussex. Around 80% of those we support are also on the autistic spectrum. We have 17 small, supported Living services across East and West Sussex. The primary locations for these services are Littlehampton, Worthing, Horsham, Pulborough, Shoreham-by-Sea, Brighton & Hove, Peacehaven and Eastbourne.

Role & Responsibilities
We are currently looking for positive, compassionate, and caring Support Workers to join our supported living services in the Brighton & Hove area of East Sussex.
We have several services within these areas where successful applicants would be matched and attributed to one service. Each of our services provide 24-hour support to individuals ranging between 2 and 6 people sharing their home together.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
* Assist the people we support in all areas of their lives and help them to achieve their goals.
* Participate in providing daily activities for the people we support.
* Undertake tasks of a domestic nature, e.g. shopping, cooking, laundry, house cleaning with individuals.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with people we support’s relatives, outside agencies and other professionals.
* Support individuals in their personal care when appropriate.
* Supporting and caring for those who can at times display behaviours that others may find challenging.
* To develop a full knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures pertaining to the people we support, including reports, support plans and daily recordings.
To undertake the role of keyworker for an individual.
Current positions we are recruiting to:
Support workers - Patcham and Hove areas of Brighton – We are specifically recruiting for those who have a Full UK or International Driver’s License, to assist our service users who are unable to use public transport in getting out and about in the community. The few services in need of recruitment in this area also have an increased demand for female support workers to enable us to fairly represent the people we support. This is a relevant requirement under positive action measures of the Equality Act 2010.

Requirements:
* Staff work on a shift basis across the week and have a monthly rota; some weekend working is required.
* Regular sleep-in duties will be required as part of the support worker role; these are paid in addition at £70.00 per sleep in.
* Please note that all our positions require an Enhanced DBS check in relation to adults.
* Full UK driving licence is preferable.
