Our workshops are a key department on every site, and we are looking for a Preparation Supervisor to supervise the workshop and yard team reporting directly to the Preparation Manager. As a Preparation Supervisor here at Motorpoint, you will help us to shake off all those outdated car industry clichés and help us drive into the fast lane towards becoming the most desired car retailer.
Let us tell you a little bit about what you will be doing:
* Supporting the yard operations and team to prepare vehicles for site display and customer collection.
* Coaching, leading, and developing the Yard and Workshop team.
* Ensuring low levels of issues such as price boards and preparation issues are identified during the Buyer's pitch visit.
* Ensuring work is allocated to individuals and productivity is maintained while maintaining quality.
* Maintaining good administrative procedures and filing of relevant documents.
* Working closely with subcontractors on site and maintaining a good relationship.
* Assisting your line manager in their duties related to workshop management.
* Liaising with sales team members and assisting where necessary.
* Carrying out all duties in line with the company’s health and safety policies and procedures, and the safe to work instructions.
* Assisting the team to carry out PDI inspections and repair vehicles as part of the workshop team.
* Due to the nature of the role, you will need a full, clean driving licence.
* Above everything else, you'll live the Motorpoint values of Proud, Honest, Supportive, and Happy. You’ll also be ready for some serious fun!
So how do you get the role?
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record in a similar role, particularly in workshop control, quality control, and managing logistics, along with people management and leadership experience. This role will require you to be well-organised, have a methodical approach to workload, and the ability to manage several processes and tasks at the same time. You'd be required to be IT literate with working knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
What is in it for you?
* Paid time off every month to do something that makes you happy.
* 28 days holiday plus days off for your birthday, getting married, or moving house.
