Protocol Education is working on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in the Gateshead area, who are seeking an experienced Admin Support Officer to join their dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with prior experience in a school office environment to make a real impact. The successful candidate will be providing essential administrative support, ensuring the smooth running of the school office, and contributing to a positive and efficient working environment.
Key Details:
* Role: Admin Support Officer
* Start Date: W/C 19th May (just before May half term)
* Contract: Ongoing, term-time only
* Location: Gateshead
* Experience: Previous experience in a school office is essential
Responsibilities include:
* Managing incoming calls, emails, and visitors
* Updating pupil records and supporting data entry
* Assisting with attendance and general admin duties
* Supporting staff and leadership with day-to-day operations
You will need:
* Previous school admin experience (essential)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proficiency with school management systems (e.g., SIMS)
* A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work
