Tooling Logistics Coordinator
Derby, site-based
Full time, 3 shifts (mornings, afternoons and nights)
We are looking for a Tooling Logistics Coordinator to join our logistics team in Derby. In this role, you will ensure that tooling requirements are met across our Civil Aerospace business both in the UK and at our MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) sites overseas. You will work with multiple stakeholders across our operational areas to determine future requirements, deliver tools and receipt deliveries in SAP.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will support the movement of tools internally and externally while working with multiple stakeholders. You will look after:
1. Logistics support, including receipt, dispatch and organising the transportation of tooling, locally and globally.
2. Manage tooling storage within the Tooling Sequencing Centre, as well as dedicated on-site tooling storage areas. This includes kitting sets of tooling prior to module and engine induction and providing a supply of tools that are required on an ad-hoc basis throughout the assembly and disassembly process.
3. Coordination and completion of logistics related tasks to support assembly and disassembly activities.
4. Support the movement of tooling internally and externally as required. As well as be accountable for ensuring ERP compliance for tooling.
5. Ensure all tooling and logistical risks that have the potential to impact delivery are identified, prioritised, and escalated, where appropriate, within the wider organisation.
6. Support booking in, picking, storage of tools on site; as well as supporting functional improvement activities.
7. Provide logistical support for the modification, calibration and warranty claims for tooling.

1. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred. Warehousing & inventory management experience would be advantageous.
2. Clean driving licence is essential. A forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential as training can be provided.
3. Good manual handling skills.
4. An active self-starter, able to use your own initiative and communicate with confidence at various levels of the business.
5. Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
6. Experience of working in a demanding customer focused environment and an ability to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable mind-set and willingness to learn.
7. Demonstrated ability to deliver under challenging circumstances.
