About the role
This role is a pivotal part of the Europe Innovation Team, which is responsible for creating winning propositions across our 7 x regions – GB, IOI, Northern, Southern, Eastern, MENA & Turkey. We operate across all categories, and all brands, including the creation of New to World. It is our job, together with our markets to identify opportunities, create winning propositions & then execute them with scale & flair.
The head of commercialisation role is responsible for the commercial quality and sustainability of our innovation pipeline; as well as influencing across the region to deliver exceptional, holistic commercial execution.
This is what is expected in the role:
* Ensuring our customers and the trade are passionate & inspired by our innovation agenda. The pipeline is rooted in customer insight, as much as it is in consumer insight. This means partnering with the Europe Innovation team and in market teams to ensure all innovation has clear consumer and customer needs.
* Best in class end to end commercialisation. Be unambiguous as to what it takes to execute our innovation to its full potential [customer sell in, investment, commercial KPIs], and influence across the region to deliver these expectations.
* Best in class launches. Make our execution the envy of our peers. You will work with teams across the markets to ensure excellent launch standards and spinning out learnings to other regions with speed.
* Simple & clear performance management & insight. Partner with Europe Innovation planning and external M&E organisations to ensure our commercial scorecard allows for deep performance insight & rapid course correction. Brought to life through the BPM process.
* Senior influence and engagement. You can influence and build relationships with senior commercial leaders [exec members] across the regions to have a meaningful impact on decisions & implications.
* Creative problem solving. You can find solutions for business challenges and ensure internal barriers do not get in the way of external success.
* Commercial Expertise. You have a deep understanding of customer needs and can use this insight to develop projects.
* Build a culture around innovation commercialisation. Create a community of Innovation Commercialisation talent across Europe that allows for rapid learning, and personal growth.
About you
* 8+ years of relevant commercial experience – Consistent record of business delivery in Commercial or Customer Marketing leadership roles.
* Deep understanding and empathy for customer needs.
* Outstanding ability to build and maintain genuine relationships based on mutual trust & respect.
* Successful management of senior partners, resulting in strong and positive outcomes.
* Being able to excel when navigating ambiguity, complexity and working within a fast-paced, daring and matrixed environment.
* Known for brilliant execution to impeccably high standards with deep personal accountability for outstanding performance.
* Strong end to end commercial FMCG understanding, alongside high levels of numerical capability and attention to detail.
* Experience of working with and leading a team, whether directly or indirectly.
