Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join our team at Chard.
The Role
The primary role of the Warehouse Assistants is to control the flow of stock through a warehouse, monitoring goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving, handling items and keeping accurate stock records.
Responsibilities
* Picking and loading daily deliveries.
* Overseeing customer orders and helping to make sure orders go out in a good time frame.
* Dealing with returns to suppliers.
* Working with the Management and Sales Colleagues to keep stock at optimum levels.
* The ability to work in the warehouse by themselves without constant supervision.
* Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse.
* Ensuring that all stock is correctly labelled.
* Supporting other warehouse colleagues.
* Performing general warehouse duties in order to maintain smooth operations.
Requirements
* Full driving license to cover the van driver.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Ability to take instructions and work under minimal supervision.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Be thorough and pay attention to detail.
* Be organized in prioritizing workload effectively.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Always maintain good knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures.
* Forklift truck qualification - this is an advantage but not essential.
The Hours
Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:30-17:00, Saturday 08:00-12:00
