About the Role: Our client, a leading provider of youth homelessness support, is looking to recruit compassionate and dedicated Project Workers for their Youth Homelessness Service. The role will involve supporting young people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Fife. As a Project Worker, you will provide tailored, person-centred support to help young people access stable housing, improve their wellbeing, and develop the skills needed for independent living. You will work closely with young people to provide emotional, practical, and advocacy support, as well as collaborate with partner agencies to deliver holistic care. Both full-time and part-time hours are available, offering flexibility to suit your availability. Key Responsibilities: Provide practical and emotional support to young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, helping them secure housing, employment, education, and health services. Develop and implement individual support plans, assessing needs and setting goals to support young people in building independence. Assist young people with essential life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, tenancy management, and personal development. Offer emotional support and guidance, building trusted relationships with young people to help them address personal challenges. Collaborate with external agencies, including local authorities, housing providers, social services, and mental health services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to each young person’s needs. Advocate for young people in accessing and navigating various services, ensuring they are supported in achieving their goals. Monitor progress and adjust support plans as needed, regularly reviewing young people's outcomes and wellbeing. Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with service policies, confidentiality, and regulatory standards. Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the wellbeing of young people at all times. Skills and Experience: Experience working with young people, particularly those facing homelessness or social exclusion. Understanding of the complex issues young people face, including housing, mental health, substance misuse, and relationship difficulties. Ability to create and implement individual support plans and offer interventions to help young people achieve positive outcomes. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with young people and work collaboratively with external professionals. An empathetic, proactive, and solution-focused approach, with the ability to support young people through challenging situations. Knowledge of relevant legislation, services, and best practices in homelessness and youth support. A qualification in social care, youth work, or a related field (e.g., SVQ Level 3, HNC in Social Care or Youth Work) is desirable but not essential. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required to support young people.
