Robert half is extremely proud to be partnering with the Greater Manchester chambers of commerce in the search for a finance manager.
Working as part of the Finance Team this role will support the Finance director in delivering the projects and objectives of the team.
Working closely with your colleague's you will ensure that you make the right people aware of things at the right time. You will ensure that services and products provided to customers, both internal and external, are consistent and of a first-class standard.
Alongside the Finance Director you will be the finance lead supporting new initiatives. You will be involved at every stage of the project and form part of the cross functional team supporting the initiative.
1. Owning and managing the management accounts process for GMCC.
2. Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with pre-determined timescales.
3. Ownership of the company balance sheet ensuring all reconciliations are completed monthly or quarterly dependent on level of risk.
4. Part of the business review team which meets monthly to discuss P&L performance and monthly reforecast.
5. Owning and managing monthly HMRC compliance and the year-end process for GMCC
6. Owning and managing the pension administration for the GMCC Closed Pension Scheme.
7. Owning and managing monthly payroll process alongside the HR manager for GMCC.
8. Overseeing the management accounts team to ensure processes are completed in line with monthly deadlines.
9. Owning and managing the finance controls for GMCC including line management and ongoing development of 2 staff.
10. Develop and operate the company's business planning cycle (to include the 5-year financial plan, annual budgets, monthly rolling forecasts and ongoing cash flow forecasts) which together support business strategy and inform decision making.
11. Develop reporting to help SMT understand business performance better.
12. Working with your team you will provide outstanding business support enabling non finance managers to understand and process financial information better. Support to include, handling customer enquiries, both internal and external, in a professional manner, ensuring that issues, complaints and feedback are responded to and acted upon appropriately.

13. Qualified accountant CIMA / ACCA or qualified by experience.
14. Experience of working in a commercial environment
15. You have a 'can do' approach.
16. Proactive and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
17. Strong organisation skills
18. Ability to add insight into financial data and optimise the use of financial reporting
19. Expert knowledge of Excel and other database management tools
20. Experience of leading and developing a team
